Patanjali drags Kalpamrit Ayurved to High court.

Baba Ramdev's Patanjali Ayurved has sued Kalpamrit Ayurved for infringing it's copyright and trademark. Patanjali Ayurved has accused Kalpamrit Ayurved (a unit of Maharishi Patanjlai parivar) of allegedly using the former's trademark, copyright, packaging and artwork. Patanjali Ayurved alleges Kalpamrit Ayurved for launching products that are 'deceptively similar' to Patanjali's name, logo and packaging. Patanjali objected to Kalpamrit's green and saffron logo. The court, in it's interim order has come out with the prima facie case and restrained Kalpamrit and it's associates from using 'Patanajali' word and it's art work. Court also observed that it may cause Irreparable harm and injury' to the plaintiff if interim order is not granted. Previously, a legal notice was served upon Kalpamrit Ayurved by Patanjali Ayurved for misusing later's Intellectual Property. The next hearing is scheduled on 7th May.
